Is Christmas Eve a paid holiday at your job?

President Trump signed an Executive order on Friday, making Christmas Eve an official federal holiday this year.

Other presidents have offered federal workers a half-day, but this executive order gives employees a fully paid day off.

Like those who have to report to work for reasons of national security, defense, or other public need, there are exceptions to the order.

The order reads,

"Section1. All executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government shall be closed and their employees excused from duty on Thursday, December 24, 2020, the day before Christmas Day."
