Santa Makes Up For Making a Child Cry While Visiting a Mall Santa

Have you ever had a bad experience with a mall Santa? 

Santa Claus has brought an early Christmas gift to a 4-year-old Illinois boy after a previous visit to a mall Santa left the child in tears. 

In a video that's gone viral, Michael DeCarlo breaks out in tears after a shopping mall Santa refuses to add a Nerf gun to the boy's Christmas list. "No guns," the Santa says. 

"If your dad wants to get it for you, that's fine. But I can't bring it to you." 

In reaction to hundreds of negative online comments, the Harlem Irving Plaza sent a different Santa to DeCarlo's home over the weekend -- and presented him with a brand new Nerf gun. 

As he rips open the gift, DeCarlo can be heard saying, "This is crazy, this thing!" 

The boy's mother says, "We thought it was very kind, and we're grateful for their quick response to restore my son's faith in Santa."
