Hurricane Max Hits Southern Mexico Near Acapulco

Hurricane Max has made landfall in Southern Mexico. 

According to ABC News, "Hurricane Max hit Mexico's southern Pacific coast as a Category 1 storm Thursday and was expected to move inland into Guerrero state, a region that includes the resort city of Acapulco."

The storm is expected to bring "life-threatening flash floods and rainfall" to Guerrero and Oaxaca states.

Max is a category 1 storm with maximum sustained winds of 80 MPH.
